THANE COLLECTOR ISSUES LAND ACQUISITION NOTICES FOR 45-METRE AIROLI-KATAI ROAD

The Thane District Collectorate has published notices under Section 19(1) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, for land acquisition in Mouje Desai, Mouje Shil, Mouje Domkhar and Mouje Davale, within Thane Municipal Corporation limits, for the proposed 45-metre-wide Airoli-Katai road project. Owners and interested persons in the affected survey numbers can file claims, objections and suggestions with the Collectorate. Separately, Thane District Collector Dr Shrikrishna Panchal had, in a review meeting reported on 7 March 2026, directed officials to fast-track pending land grievances registered on the Centre's Project Monitoring Group (PMG) portal, with a target of completing related land acquisition proceedings by end of March 2026 across zones including Bhayandar, Bhiwandi, Kalyan and Ulhasnagar.
